Pipes NZ was established in 2009 to give New Zealand's infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors a reliable, globally connected supplier of specialised steel pipe. From the start, the focus has been quality, traceability, and long-term value - the kind of reliability that matters when performance isn't negotiable. What began as a small specialist supplier has grown into a nationally recognised partner for contractors, engineers, and asset owners.
As part of the United Industries group, alongside sister company United Steel, we draw on the strength and shared capability of one of New Zealand's most established manufacturing and distribution networks - integrated supply pathways, shared technical knowledge, and coordinated national logistics. We also maintain close relationships with international mills across China, South Korea, and Europe, giving us access to certified product that meets global standards, and work alongside accredited industry bodies to support best-practice material selection.
Sustainability is a growing part of how we operate - from responsible sourcing and transparent certification to working with mills that demonstrate strong environmental performance, and helping clients choose materials that extend asset life and reduce waste. Looking ahead, we're investing in expanded warehousing and product lines, with deeper engagement in the geothermal and renewable sectors, to support the next generation of major projects.
